The Tagliatelle challenge – the details

Sunday evening I amused myself trying my new Imperia and counting the meters of tagliatelle made

So…this is THE CHALLENGE:

HOW MANY METERS OF HOME MADE TAGLIATELLE WILL I MAKE BETWEEN BRUSSELS AND ULAANBATAAR???

As a help… I will make tagliatelle at least once  in each country we will cross starting from Turkey (check out the Route section to discover how many!). For each 300g of flour used (portion for 3 people), I make 3.6 meters of tagliatelle.

Now up to you to count and bet on how many meters of tagliatelle I will make during our trip!! Each bet is worth 10 euros, that go towards supporting our chosen charities of course! Check the Support Us section of our blog.

The 3 closest bets to the actual length will get a present, something typical from Mongolia…cashemere gloves, yak socks or Chinggis Khaan vodka, or… surprise!

And now…bets open!

The Tagliatelle challenge

A couple of months have passed since our last post, it’s been a busy time for the 3 of us, but here we are, back online with our first challenge!

Me, Ren, I’m known within friends for…being the one that eats out more often than in…cooking is not my strongest point.

So here it is my challenge… making home made Tagliatelle in each and every one of the 14 countries we will cross on our way to Mongolia!!!

1, 2, 3 times in each country, flour, eggs and my Imperia (replica on the 1939’s one I inherited from my Grandma and that I’ve been using so far).

How many meters of pasta will I make????  Any bet? Stay tuned for the details of the challenge!

This is it…the Imperia!
